League of Legends on Linux!

Yes the title says it all!!!

I, and some other fellow Linux gamers have installed League of Legends on Ubuntu and I was able to run it smoothly with only a few problems. If you want to try LoL on Ubuntu then see below!

Known issues
-For me the store (not the ingame one) is just a black screen so you wont be able to buy champions or runes unless this gets fixed or you do that on a Windows machine.
-The initial patcher is set to EU on first run after installing, its easy to change that to your own region.
-The client MAY crash at odd times but once the GAME has loaded I have yet to have a crash while playing.
-loading into a game may crash and keep your Ubuntu resolution at the games resolution until you restart or force close the application.

SO with the above in mind! Lets get started!!!

You will need Wine and PlayOnLinux. Go to my page: http://gameonubuntu.blogspot.co.nz/p/wine.html
to install both these :)

When you have done that, go ahead and click on POL (PlayOnLinux). Click install a game, Select the "testing" checkbox and proceed through the normal process of installing LoL using the tarball, Leaving all options as default.

It will take a significant amount of time to download (for me 1-2 hours).

And you are done! Something not working? Describe your problem to Google, there are lots of solutions on the net.
