Step 1: Updating the system!

So now you have learned the basics to working with this guide all you have to do is copy and paste the code you see into terminal! Easy!! Lets begin.

Updating Ubuntu.

Updating Ubuntu will give you the latest software updates for your programs. Having up-to-date software means less bugs, more features and better compatibility with other programs.

To update we will go into Terminal (Ctrl-Alt-T) and enter this code:

sudo apt-get update

=================

Press enter then input your password (nothing will show up as being typed) then press enter and watch as it does its job

With Terminal unless you see your computers name (when you open Terminal the only text you see is your computer name), then Terminal is working.
Wait for the computer name to show up at the bottom (see picture below) before you enter any more code.

 Once you see the PC name the WELL DONE!!! You have updated the packages!
